An Exact Visitor (green in your leads) is the person who was on your page, by name: business email, phone, LinkedIn, their company and every page they viewed. It works outside the EU and the EEA; there you get a Suggested Contact instead.

Reverse-IP tools look an address up in a business database and stop there. Our pixel sits on your pages and records what happened first (pages, time on each, repeat visits), then matches the visit by key or by company. That is why the pixel has to be on every page, not just the homepage, and why a lead carries the whole session, not a single hit.

Reverse IP also guesses wrong: ten companies in one office building, or two people from different companies sharing a home connection, all come out as one address. The key in the browser belongs to one person.

We identify visitors in 223 countries and territories, and the company in every one of them. Whether we also name the exact person (name, email, phone, LinkedIn) depends on the country:

Coverage is strongest in the USA, Europe and Australia, then Asia. Match rates depend on your audience and traffic sources, so the reliable way to know yours is to install the pixel and watch your own leads.

Yes. The identity comes from people who opted in through our partner network. That consent is the basis under CCPA and CPRA. Selling into California? Follow the California privacy setup.

Why did I get a company but no person, outside the EU? We could not match that visitor to someone in our partner network, so you get the company and a Suggested Contact there instead. Coverage grows as the network grows.

Is the exact visitor always right? The match is verified server to server before it counts, and the identity comes from the person themselves. If one looks wrong, tell us with Rate our Data Quality at the bottom of Leads.
