# Start a trial (/docs/white-label/start-trial)

A trial gives a new client a number of leads until an end date. Two calls, from your sign-up code right after [creating the website](./create-website).

## 1. How many leads and email accounts [#1-how-many-leads-and-email-accounts]

`PUT /admin/websites/set-limits/{websiteId}`. Both `credits` and `emailAccounts` are required (a `405` otherwise).

<ApiPlayground method="put" path="/admin/websites/set-limits/{websiteId}" tool="" args={`{ "websiteId": "64b7f0a1c2d3e4f5a6b7c8d9", "credits": 500, "emailAccounts": 2 }`} />

## 2. Trial until the end date [#2-trial-until-the-end-date]

`PUT /admin/websites/toggle-limits/{websiteId}` with `trialEnabled: true` and the end date.

<ApiPlayground method="put" path="/admin/websites/toggle-limits/{websiteId}" tool="" args={`{ "websiteId": "64b7f0a1c2d3e4f5a6b7c8d9", "trialEnabled": true, "trialExpireDate": "{{days:14}}", "enableWebsiteLimits": true }`} />

## What happens without you [#what-happens-without-you]

When the trial ends, its leads go to 0 and tracking stops. Nothing to call, unless they pay: then [switch them to paid](./switch-to-paid).

## The same in your dashboard [#the-same-in-your-dashboard]

**Website settings → Credits for this website**, handy to check what your code did:

| In the dashboard | In the API |
| --- | --- |
| Give it its own limit | `enableWebsiteLimits: true` |
| Trial (one-off) | `trialEnabled: true` |
| Leads for the trial | `credits` |
| Trial ends on | `trialExpireDate` |

**Next:** [switch to paid](/docs/white-label/switch-to-paid).
