# Ads: real people, not fake clicks (/docs/optimize/ads)

With the Optimize add-on, **Optimize → Ads** connects your Google, LinkedIn or Meta Ads account. Every ad click is judged from your own website's pixel: bots, data-centre traffic and clicks with no human activity are never reported, real people are reported back with a value that grows as they engage, match your ICP and reach a goal, so the platform learns which clicks to buy.

1. **Ads → Overview** shows every platform; open **Google Ads**, **LinkedIn Ads** or **Meta Ads** and finish the 3-step setup.
2. **Signals** shows the people the ads brought, their ICP match week by week as one line, a small trend per campaign, and *Real people vs fake clicks*.
3. **Recommendations** lists changes we found by comparing your ads with your ICP (blocked search terms, locations, placements, job titles, ad copy).
4. **Ads → Settings** holds the values, goals and the mode of every platform.

## Two modes: Autopilot or review [#two-modes-autopilot-or-review]

Each platform has one switch, **Autopilot** or **I review each one**, on its Recommendations tab and under **Ads → Settings**:

- **Autopilot** – safe changes (blocked search terms, locations, placements) are made for you every day.
- **I review each one** – nothing changes until you click **Apply**; we still check your ads daily and list what we found.

Ad copy, budgets and bidding always wait for you, in both modes. **Advanced** under the switch lets you pick per kind of change.

When you click **Apply** or **Ignore**, that row stays where it is with its verdict, so the next one never moves under your cursor; only the row you clicked locks while the platform makes the change.

## Common questions [#common-questions]

**Does Google already filter invalid clicks?** Partly. On the Google Ads tab, *Real people vs fake clicks* shows **Google filtered on its own** (invalid clicks Google refunded) next to **Fake clicks blocked** by your pixel, and how many more we blocked that Google still charged you for.

**Why does a recommendation wait for me?** Either the platform is in review mode, or the change is one we never make by ourselves (ad copy, budgets, bidding), or the platform does not let us make it (then you get instructions and **Mark as done**).

**How do I see if the campaigns bring better people?** The line on the Signals tab is the average ICP match of the people your ads brought, week by week, with the change since the first week; the **Trend** column in the campaigns table shows the same per campaign.
