# Web Scraping

## Guide — In the dashboard

Web Scraping looks for your keywords on websites across the open web, in the page text and in the scripts a site loads. Use a phrase your buyers write about themselves ("ships worldwide") or a domain such as a competitor's tracker. Every company that matches becomes a lead, with its people.

1. **Leads → Web Scraping → + Add keyword.**
2. **Type the keyword**, pick Exact or Fuzzy, or click a suggestion.
3. **Set the daily limit** (1 credit per lead) and click Done.

### Use case: Watch a competitor [#use-case-watch-a-competitor]

`PUT /v3/web-scraping` with `enabled: true` and a keyword like `{ "value": "competitor-tool.com", "matchMode": "exact" }`. Send the whole list: it replaces the keywords.

### Use case: Which keywords work [#use-case-which-keywords-work]

`GET /v3/web-scraping` returns leads per keyword over the last 7 days; pause the silent ones.
