# Search companies

> Find companies in the Happierleads database by industry, size, location or technology, or look one up by name.

Every section below does the same job: in the dashboard (Guide), from your code (API) or through an AI assistant (MCP).

## Guide — In the dashboard

Look up one company or person by name, or search companies by industry, size, location and technology.

1. **Leads → Prospector → Search database.**
2. **People or Companies**, then type a name.
3. **Import** adds a person to your leads (1 credit when their email verifies).
