# LinkedIn Chrome extension

> Install the Happierleads LinkedIn extension so your LinkedIn campaigns send connection requests from your own browser.

Every section below does the same job: in the dashboard (Guide), from your code (API) or through an AI assistant (MCP).

## Guide — In the dashboard

[LinkedIn campaigns](/docs/engage/linkedin-campaigns) send their connection requests through a Chrome extension, from your own LinkedIn session in your own browser. Nothing logs in to LinkedIn on your behalf.

### Install it [#install-it]

1. Open Chrome on the computer where you are signed in to LinkedIn.
2. Install **[Happierleads LinkedIn from the Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/happierleads-linkedin/jkimcciakllhjkgkpimcjlfkoiaejkao)** and click **Add to Chrome**. You can also click **Add to Chrome** under **Integrations → LinkedIn Accounts** in the dashboard.
3. Pin it: click the puzzle icon in Chrome’s toolbar, then the pin next to **Happierleads LinkedIn**.
4. Open the extension and click **Connect this Chrome**. If no dashboard tab is open, sign in with your dashboard email and password, then pick the workspace.
5. Within a minute the account appears in **Integrations → LinkedIn Accounts** with its status.

Updates install automatically. Install it on each Chrome profile whose LinkedIn account you want to send from; each one appears as its own row.

### What it sends, and when [#what-it-sends-and-when]

The extension only sends **connection requests**, with an optional personalised note, to the prospects your LinkedIn campaigns queue. It never scrapes profiles or your feed and never reads your messages.

To keep your account safe it:

- sends a few requests a day per account, spread hours apart, and raises the number slowly during the first weeks (**Ramp-up** on the account row; you can change the start, the maximum and the number of days);
- sends only inside the campaign’s schedule (by default weekdays, 08:00–20:00 in the timezone of the computer running Chrome);
- waits until you are away from the keyboard, so it never takes over while you browse;
- tries each prospect at most twice, and stops for at least a day if LinkedIn shows a limit or asks you to verify.

Chrome has to be open and signed in to LinkedIn for anything to send. A laptop that is only open in the evening still sends, inside its local hours.

### Pause or remove it [#pause-or-remove-it]

- **Pause one account:** the pause button on its row in **Integrations → LinkedIn Accounts**, or switch off **Autopilot** in the extension.
- **Remove an account:** the delete button on its row. Requests queued for it are cancelled. To stop for good, also remove the extension from Chrome.

### Troubleshooting [#troubleshooting]

| You see | Do this |
| --- | --- |
| The account is not in **LinkedIn Accounts** | Open the extension and click **Connect this Chrome**. Make sure you are signed in to LinkedIn in the same Chrome profile. |
| **LinkedIn disconnected** in the extension | Sign in to linkedin.com again in that Chrome, then reopen the extension. |
| Requests are queued but nothing is sent | Check that Chrome is open, the time is inside the campaign’s schedule, today’s limit is not used up, and the account is not paused or cooling down after a LinkedIn warning. |
| **Could not load your workspaces** | Sign in to the dashboard in a tab of the same Chrome, then click **Connect this Chrome** again. |
