# Cancel or pause your plan > Cancel, pause, unpause or restart your subscription. Every section below does the same job: in the dashboard (Guide), from your code (API) or through an AI assistant (MCP). ## Guide — In the dashboard Source: /docs/account/cancel-or-pause Need a break, or want to stop? Both start from **Cancel plan** on the Billing page. Only the account owner, or a teammate with the **Billing & plan** permission, can do this. 1. Go to **Billing** and click **Cancel plan**. 2. Pick what is not working. Depending on your answer you can report a bug and pause for free, book a free setup call, or get a discount to stay. Each offer has a **No thanks** link to carry on. 3. Need a break rather than an exit? Choose **Pause** for 1 to 6 months: nothing is charged and no new leads come in, and the plan resumes by itself. 4. To leave, write a short note on why (it is required), then click **Yes, cancel my subscription**. The plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. Changed your mind? **Reactivate subscription** on the Billing page undoes the cancellation, and **Unpause now** ends a pause early. After the paid period has ended, the dashboard offers **Restart subscription**: the same plan at the same price, charged to the card on file once you click **Confirm and pay**. If your bank asks to confirm the payment, or the card no longer works, you are taken to the upgrade page to finish. ### While your plan is paused [#while-your-plan-is-paused] The dashboard shows **Your subscription is paused**: website visitors are not identified until it resumes on the date shown. The owner can click **Unpause my subscription** to restart billing now, or **Pick a plan to restart** on a different plan. Teammates see who the owner is and can ask them.
